2 Cor 1:20-22 NIV
For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God.

Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.”

I am often overwhelmed by the generosity of others. Whether by word or gift I get a healthy sense of feeling unworthy when someone does something special for me. When I think about God’s grace I am often floored – left with the only reasonable response of silence in His presence.

God’s grace goes beyond forgiveness, in fact it is only step one. His grace continues from there into eternity carrying promise after promise for our lives. The Word tells us in 2 Corinthians 1 that ALL of God’s promises are ours in Jesus. God has promised us His favor and has promised to protect us, to comfort us, to justify us, to rebuke our enemies and even to guide us. Furthermore, He has given us the Holy Spirit as a guarantee.

What God has promised, He will do. What He has started, He will finish by His Spirit. Lean into God’s guaranteed promises. This is a blessed life.
