Hi Newport Church Family,

We pray that you have had a faith filled week!

It’s day 14 of Miracle May and tomorrow we are excited to have Biju Thampy speaking in our 10am service!

Miracles on the Streets

Biju is a great friend of ours and is the founder of Vision Rescue in Mumbai India. Vision Rescue’s mission is to free children and families, living on the streets and in the slums of Mumbai, from the cycle of poverty and exploitation that keeps them ensnared with no hope or way out.

Working among the most vulnerable in the cities of India, Vision Rescue gives them a way out, providing food, education and health care, while sharing the gospel with them.

Biju has seen miracle after miracle over the years, and he will be sharing many of these stories with us that will inspire us and build our faith as we believe God for Miracles this month.

We encourage you to do all that you can to be there in person and to invite the people in your world to what is going to be a faith filled morning.

Here is a link to a short video greeting from Biju, you are going to love his ministry.

The Miracle of Provision

Biju will be sharing many of the miracles of provision that he has experienced over the years, and this month as we pray and ask God for miracles in every area of our lives, we are also asking God for miraculous provision in each one of our homes and God’s house.

Every story of God’s miraculous provision in the Bible, that I can think of, required the person in need to activate the miracle by providing God with something to work with and multiply.

A few loaves and small fish that were multiplied to feed 5,000, water poured into large stone jars that Jesus turned into wine, a net thrown into the water for a miraculous catch, are just a few examples of this powerful truth.

We must sow a seed to activate the miracle of provision that we are praying for!

As we pray for miraculous provision in our homes and for our church let’s remember it’s the seed we sow which determines the harvest we grow.

Paul reminds us of this principle and truth:

“Remember this – a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop.” 2 Cor 9:6

Special Miracle Offering on Sunday June 5th

Every year at the end of May we give our annual Miracle Offering, where each one of us has the opportunity to give a special offering over and above our normal donations or tithes.

This is a very important offering for us as a church and we are praying that it will be miraculous seed that multiplies for everyone who participates.

As we give, and God multiplies our offering, we not only receive the answer to our need for a miracle but we can be the answer to someone else’s cry for a miracle.

We may never go to the slums and streets of Mumbai, but the offering that leaves our hands can go before us and transform a life, a family and a community not just for time but for eternity!

Our prayer has always been that we could be a spiritual and natural storehouse that can provide hope and faith to our community and world.

Let’s pray and consider what we can do, because together we can make a difference that we could never make on our own.

As we have always said about our offerings, it’s not equal giving but equal sacrifice because it’s not the size of our gift that God measures but the size of our personal sacrifice.

And let’s never forget what Jesus said:

“Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full—pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back.” Luke 6:38
