Our vision is to be a church that makes a difference in our world both locally and globally by “loving God with all our heart, soul, strength & mind and loving our neighbor as ourselves”. We believe our neighbor is both the person who lives next door to us and the person who lives on the other side of the world.
As a church, we believe in making a difference in our world in both spiritual and practical ways. Our Food with Love ministry allows our church to extend the love of God to our community by supplying food to our neighbors in need.
Every week, our team of volunteers partners with Orange County’s Second Harvest Food Bank to organize, bag, and distribute thousands of pounds of food to over 100 families weekly (that represents over 500 individuals)!
Volunteering at Food with Love consists of unloading food off the truck, portioning off food into bags, and later distributing the food to the community.
If you would like to take part in volunteering with the team, please see the below calendar for our meeting dates. You are welcome as often as works for you and can come late or leave early, if needed!
We recommend eating a nice breakfast, wearing comfortable shoes, and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. Food with Love runs outdoors – rain or shine – so be sure to dress accordingly!
Twice a year, our church comes together in partnership with our Food with Love ministry to serve our community by supplying food and meeting practical needs.
Summer - backpack / school supply distribution
Winter - My Christmas Wish - gift distribution
Our team will spend one week alongside Camino de Vida, a local in Lima, Peru in changing the lives of others through God’s love. Projects will include assembly and distribution of wheelchairs, building a home for a family, serving food to families in the hospital, and hosting a festival for kids.
