21 Day Reset 1920X1080.jpg

We are excited for our 21 Days of Prayer & Fasting, and would love for you to join us as we seek God together! We believe that God will do extraordinary things as we set this time aside to fast, pray and seek Him in His Word.

Jesus said Fasting is
"an appetite-denying discipline to better focus on God"
Matthew 6:14 Message

Whatever fast you choose, we pray that it will be a spiritually renewing and empowering time for you personally and for us as a church corporately.

Day 21- REVELATION

JANUARY 31, 2021

REVELATION – A revealing or communication of Divine truth; something that is revealed by God to humans; the making known of something that was previously secret or unknown.

We live in an age of information overload. Over the last eleven months of the COVID-19 lockdown we have been inundated with more information than ever before. Our inboxes have been bombarded with emails, social media has been in overdrive, and the media has been on information overload.

We have more information at our disposal than we know what to do with!

In reality we don’t need more information, but what we do need is, more revelation.

In the time of Samuel’s’ childhood there is a sad verse about the state of the nation of Israel:

And the word of the Lord was rare in those days; there was no widespread revelation. 1 Samuel 3:1

There was no revelation and the result was the decline of the nation.

Solomon wrote:

Where there is no revelation, people cast off restraint”, or in other translations, “run wild” or “perish”. Proverbs 29:18

A lack of revelation will always lead to decline, because everything that God builds is always built on revelation.

Abraham became the father of faith because he had a revelation.

When Jesus asked His disciples the questions, “Who do people say that I Am?” and “Who do you say that I Am?” Peter responded, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Jesus then said, “My Father in heaven has revealed this to you. You did not learn this from any human being.”

In other words, “Peter, you didn’t receive this by human information but by Divine Revelation.”

Jesus went on say that He was going to build His church on this revelation of Himself as the Christ, with people like Peter who had the same revelation.

In the question that Jesus posed to His disciples He was asking, “are you going to build your life on what people around you are saying, on popular opinion and information, or are you going to build your life on the true revelation of My word and who I Am?’

And that’s the question we must all ask ourselves.

Are our lives being shaped by and built on popular opinion and human information or on the word of God?

Jesus emphasized this in His conclusion to the Sermon on the Mount:

Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. Matt 7:24 NIV

As we conclude our 21 Day RESET, let’s determine that we are going to build our lives on Revelation not Information, so that when the rains fall, the floodwaters rise and the winds blow, we will stand strong and unmoved because our house is built on the rock of Christ.
