SUMMER SERVE DAY 2021

We are very excited for our Summer Serve Day! We’re opening up Food With Love to a Saturday and giving people in our church a glimpse of what we do every single Friday.

We’ll also be doing a special school supplies distribution for the kids!

WHAT TO WEAR

HERE FOR YOU shirt available for purchase of $10.

Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes you don’t mind getting dirty.
Please be prepared for it to be sunny and in the high 80s!

WHAT TO BRING

Please leave all valuables and bags safely hidden in your car. We suggest you have a hearty breakfast before you arrive and consider bringing water and a snack. Our volunteer tent will have water, coffee, bananas, and protein bars available for each volunteer as well as sunscreen and first aid supplies, should you need them.

WHAT TO EXPECT

When you arrive, you will sign in and be assigned to a team and team leader. We will have our team rally at 9:15, so please plan to be present no later than this time. After the rally, you will report to your team lead to learn how you can best serve in your area. The program is due to run from 10 to 12. During that time we will be handing out thousands of pounds of food and 200+ backpacks filled with supplies. Once all the food and school supplies have been distributed, we will clean up. We anticipate to be complete by 1pm.

CHILDREN

There will be no childcare or kids program for this event. It is best for little ones to stay at home for this outreach. Any children aged in middle or high school should be kept with you under your direct supervision at all times to ensure their safety.
