Hi Newport Church Family,
We trust that you are well and experiencing God’s grace and goodness each new day.
Resuming Sunday Morning Services November 8th, 11am
After eight months of online services and much prayer, consideration and counsel we are very excited to announce that we will be resuming our Sunday morning services on November the 8th!
It’s time for us to gather again!
We will be posting the details on our website along with everything that we will be doing to observe all the necessary and mandated protocols.
We will be having three meeting options so that we can be sure to make provision for everyone in this transition.
The three options are as follows:
Option 1 – Online
Option 2 – In Person Outside our Church Building
Option 3 – In Person in our Auditorium
The Impact of Isolation
Over the last eight months we have all experienced the impact of isolation. The effect on our community has been enormous and cannot be underestimated.
Isolation and distance either mandated or through fear is one of the greatest challenges we are facing at this time.
During the pandemic, calls to crisis help lines have increased by up to 8,000%, drug and alcohol abuse and deaths, domestic violence and suicide rates have all soared amidst the COVID-19 restrictions.
We can be a Hub of Hope and Faith
I cannot remember a time like this when we as a church have had the opportunity to be a hub of hope and faith that provides the solution to the void in people lives. This is our hour as we gather and provide the connection with God, and a family and community of faith, that will meet the need of so many in our community.
Gathering by Choice
After months of isolation by fear, isolation by mandate and isolation by habit, now is the time for gathering and integration by choice!
Let’s do our part to not only gather ourselves, but also all of those in our lives and world, and make this transition as safe and reassuring as possible, while we alleviate any concerns and fears that people may have.
This is our hour and our day as the church!
Worship and Communion Service Tonight, October 17, 6pm-7pm
Don’t miss our one hour Worship and Communion Service tonight. We’ve been holding these every two weeks since the beginning of August and they have been a great opportunity for us to gather, worship and take communion together.
This will be our last one before we transition to meeting on Sunday mornings! Click here for all the information. Let’s do all that we can to be there and to invite our family and friends.
Prayer & Vision Brunch Saturday October 31st 10am-11.30am
We will be having a special Prayer and Vision Brunch in two weeks. This will be the Saturday before the election, and just eight days before our first service in our building for eight months.
We will be taking time for much needed prayer for our nation, to pray for the resumption of our in-building services and to share our vision for the coming months.
Our team will be there and we would love to as many of our church as possible join us. Details will be posted on our website with an opportunity for you to RSVP.
Kingdom Builders Zoom Call Sunday, 1st November, 9.15-9.45am

Our Giving is Making a Difference
The Power of our Presence in our World
When we go into our community, as Jesus told us to, God goes with us, and our presence and His presence working together make a powerful difference.
Whether it’s words of hope and faith that we share with those in our world, either in person, or through our online services our presence is making a difference.
When our Food with Love team and ministry take food to those who are in need, and share the love of Jesus with them our presence is making a difference.
When we partner with Vision Rescue, loving, feeding, teaching, providing medical attention and health care for the most vulnerable children on the streets of Mumbai in India, our presence is making a difference.
When our church stands as a hub of hope and faith, as we welcome people home from our community, our presence is making a difference.
None of this would be possible without your generosity, and as a contributing partner to all of the above, your presence is making a difference.
If you would like to partner with us, and contribute to any of the above you can do so by clicking here. Your gift is making a difference!
Never underestimate the power of your presence! Your presence is making a difference.
Let’s never underestimate the power of our presence in our world!
Let’s never underestimate the power of God’s presence!
God is on His throne in Heaven let all the earth be silent before Him!
We love and appreciate you all greatly,
Jonathan & Dianne Wilson
