Hi Newport Church Family,

Happy New Year! We pray that you will know God’s favor, grace and presence this year in every way and that together we can continue to grow in love, hope, faith and strength.

First Sunday of the Year

Tomorrow is the first Sunday of the year and I can’t think of a better way to start the year than gathering to worship and open God’s word together.

Jesus said that wherever two or more are gathered together in His name, there He is in the midst, and Paul declares that faith comes and grows by hearing the Word of God.

Let’s start the year in God’s Presence and in His Word and establish that as the pattern for our 2021!

Whether it’s online or outside our building, where we have an LED wall, tables and chairs set up and great hand crafted coffee available, we would love for you to join us.

Our Declaration Determines our Destination

My message tomorrow is on the power of our declaration. I’m excited to bring this message that I believe is so relevant in an environment where so much of our experience is being shaped by forces outside of our control.

When the prevailing circumstances seem to dictate that we must live by default, God declares that we should live by design and declare the truth of His Word which is more powerful than any circumstance.

Our declaration will always determine our destination, and I pray that this message will inspire and encourage us all as to enter 2021 declaring God’s promises for our lives.

Your Word for the Year….

If you were to choose a Word for 2021 what would it be?

Every year we encourage our church to ask God for a Word for the year and once again we encourage you to find your word for 2021.

As you declare it, God will breathe on it and bring it to life, just as when Ezekiel prophesied to the valley of dry bones, God breathed on the bones and they came to life.

As you find your Word for 2021 may God breathe on it and supernaturally bring it to life!

21 Day Reset

21 days to make a habit, 21 days to break a habit!

On January 10th we will be starting our annual 21 days of Prayer and Fasting.

I love this season because it gives us all an opportunity to RESET and I am sure that we are all more than ready to do that.

Over the next two weeks I will be sharing more detail on what will be involved but here are some of the key elements.

  • Prayer & Fasting

Pray:  Set aside some time each day to pray. Whether it’s 5 minutes, half an hour or more, pray in an intentional focused way.

Fast: Choose a fast that will involve personal sacrifice.

Matthew 6:14 in the Message describes Jesus’ words on Fasting as an “appetite-denying discipline to better concentrate on God”.

  • 21 Day Devotional

We will have a 21 Day Devotional available with a new “Word of the Day” each day to help us RESET.

For all those who participate we are praying and believing that this will be a significant and powerful 21 days that will set the tone for your year!

  • Vision and Anointing Service January 31st

At the conclusion of our 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting we will be praying for each one of you in an anointing service with a difference!

Whether in your homes, in our outside service or inside if restrictions allow, you will have the opportunity to anoint yourself and your family and we will pray for God’s anointing and supernatural favor on you in 2021.

This will be a unique but powerful way to conclude our 21 Day RESET, and we will also be sharing our Vision for the coming months and year.

Let’s believe for the very best start to 2021 together!

Your Generosity is Making a Difference

On Vision Sunday we will be highlighting many of the things that we were able to do as a church this last year.

Even though we faced many challenges and restrictions we were able to make a significant difference in the lives of many through your generosity.

The weekly online services that brought hope and faith to those who joined us online, our Food with Love team that gave food to over 100 food at risk families every week and the classroom of 20 children that we supported in Mumbai, India for the year are a few of the examples of what your generosity enable us to do.

First Offering of 2021

This Sunday we have the opportunity to give our first offering of the year.

God’s Word talks about the power of what we put first in our lives and the first offering of the year is significant because it is an expression of our honoring God with the first of our finances.

Honor the Lord by giving him the first part of all your income, and he will fill your barns with wheat and barley and overflow your wine vats with the finest wines.

Proverbs 3:9 TLB

Let’s start this year by putting God first through our tithes and offerings and declare that His promises to open the windows of heaven and pour out His blessing will be a reality in our lives.

If you would like to give your offering now you can do so by clicking here.

Thank you once again for your continued generosity, we are making an eternal difference together!

God is both Willing and Able

Our prayer for you is that our God who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we could ever ask, hope or imagine will bless you and your family throughout 2021!

We look forward to you joining us tomorrow for our first service and first Sunday of the year!

We love and appreciate you greatly.

With love and blessings
