Hi Newport Church Family,

We trust that you are in good health and spirit and had a great Fourth of July weekend with church, family and friends.

Well done Good and Faithful Servant!

This Sunday I will be speaking on how we are all beneficiaries of the Faith, Resource and Experience of the generations who have gone before us.

We are not only beneficiaries of the riches of our inheritance in Christ but we also have a rich legacy that has been left to us by previous generations.

Jesus poses the question in the parable of the talents, “what will you do with what has been entrusted to you?”

How we answer this question determines the outcomes of our lives.

Our fruitfulness, our contribution to our world, the legacy we leave to our children and the generations to come is all determined by what we do with what God has entrusted to us.

Our focus will be how all of us are beneficiaries of the experience of those who have walked before us, and how we all have experience in life that we can share with and invest in others.

All of us have the opportunity to serve our generation and the generations to come as use the talents that God has given to us.

In Jesus’ parable, those who used and invested their talents heard the words, “well done good and faithful servant!”

Jesus went on to say, “ Those who use well what they are given, even more will be given, and they will have an abundance. But from those who do nothing, even what little they have will be taken away.”

As we navigate all of ups and downs, and unexpected twist and turns of life, let’s be a people who value the legacy that has been left to us and invest in others so that we become benefactors that pave the way for them.

When we do we will hear the words of Jesus:

‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a little, I will set you over much; enter into the joy of your master.’

Investing in God’s Kingdom

We can all invest in God’s Kingdom and the next generation, however young or old we may be, as we give our time, talent and treasure.

When we invest in others, we not only make a way for them to know God’s love, power and provision but God also promises to bless us as we partner with Him.

Jesus said: “Give, and it will be given to you. You will have more than enough. It can be pushed down and shaken together and it will still run over as it is given to you. The way you give to others is the way you will receive in return.” Luke 6:38 NLV

One of the great ways we can invest in God’s Kingdom is to serve in God’s House. If you would like volunteer and serve on of our teams we would love to help you join a team. Click this link and we will be in touch with you.

Serving in God’s house is one of the most enriching and rewarding things you can do!

Thank you to all of you who give out of your resource so that we can continue to be a hub of hope and faith to our community and beyond. Never forget that your giving is making an eternal difference!

If you would like to give your donation, tithe or offering now you can do so by clicking this link.
