Hi Newport Church Family,

We hope you had a faith-filled week and are experiencing God’s presence, provision, and favor.

It’s Miracle May and this month we have a special focus on God’s ability and willingness to move miraculously in our house, our neighbor’s house, and God’s house. Let’s believe together for God to do extraordinary things!

Our Declaration Precedes God’s Demonstration

In his gospel, John records 7 Divine Declarations and 7 Miraculous Demonstrations of Jesus.

The structure of the book gives a clear pattern to follow as we believe God for miracles.

The pattern is this, “Declaration precedes Demonstration.”

The 7 Declarations in the gospel of John are the “I AM” statements of Jesus, all of which are declarations of His identity.

I AM is the name that God gave to Moses when He called him to return to Egypt and lead Israel out of captivity.

Jesus said,
“ I AM the Bread of Life, I AM The Light of the World, I AM The Door of the Sheep, I AM The Good Shepherd, I AM the Resurrection and the Life, I AM the Way, the Truth and the Life and I AM the True Vine.”

Having declared His identity, Jesus then demonstrated His authority and power.

He turned water into wine, healed the nobleman’s son, healed the paralyzed man at the Pool of Bethesda, fed the five thousand, walked on water, opened the eyes of the man born blind, and raised Lazarus from the dead.

In this way, John reveals a divine pattern for knowing God’s power at work in our lives.

John goes on to tell us the purpose of his account of Jesus’ ministry.

And truly Jesus did many other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name. John 20:30-31 NKJV

He wrote that we might believe and it’s our belief that makes way for God to move miraculously.

Time and again Jesus said, “do you believe that I can do this?” before He performed a miracle.

Jesus also said, “If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.”

How important it is that we believe that God can do what we are asking Him to do.

As people believed, each one of Jesus’ miracles recorded in John’s gospel brought about a unique transformation.

From
Sadness to Gladness
Disease to Health
Paralysis to Movement
Hunger to Fullness
Turbulence to Tranquility
Darkness to Light
Death to Life

John gives us a clear pattern to follow as we believe God for miracles.

Our declaration of who God is, and our belief will release a demonstration of His authority and power.

May our declaration precede God’s demonstration in Jesus name!

The Miraculous Catch

The final miracle recorded in John’s gospel is the miraculous catch of 153 fish after the disciples had fished all night and caught nothing.

Like so many other miracles, the disciples needed to do something before the miracle could take place.

In this case it was to do what Jesus told them to do and cast their net onto the other side of the boat. In the multiplication of the loaves and fish which fed over five thousand people it required a boy to giving his lunch of bread and fish to Jesus.

This pattern is found throughout the Bible. Miracles happen when we do what God asks us to do and when we participate in the process of the miracle, rather than just waiting for a miracle to happen.

God says, “ask, seek, knock, sow, give, step out in faith, launch out into the deep, step out of the boat, cast your net on the other side of the boat…..”

In the same way, as we declare who God is and believe for a demonstration of His power and authority, let’s prime the pump for the miracle to happen by being careful to do what God says and participating in the process.

Jesus communicated this supernatural kingdom principle when He said:

“Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full—pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back.”
Luke 6:38 NLT

Miracles in our Finances

There is no doubt that we would all like to see God work miraculously in our finances! The truth is that God is not only willing but able to do so.

God outlines very clearly in His word how we can experience supernatural provision and multiplication.

God says:
Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it. Malachi 3:10 NIV

Paul writes to the Corinthian church that God gives seed to those who sow and promises that He Himself will multiply the seed we sow.

This month of Miracles let’s believe for financial miracles in our house and in God’s house

If you have never put God to the test by taking Him up on His challenge to tithe, what a great month to do so.

Click on this link to take a look at our “Give God 90 Days” Card, and test God now and see if He will not open the windows of heaven for you!

It’s the only place in the Bible where God gives us permission to test Him!

If you would like to give now, you can do so by clicking on this link here.

For all of those who have been faithfully giving, thank you for your faithfulness and generosity!

Miracle Offering June 6th

On June 6th at the end of our month of believing for miracles we will be giving our annual Miracle Offering. Please pray with us and ask God what He would have you do. Let’s prepare our hearts to give and for God to multiply the seed we sow miraculously and supernaturally. This is a very important offering for us as a church and we are believing for supernatural provision for God’s house and your house.

Weekly Devotional

Every week this month we will be posting a short Miracle May video with a faith filled message to fuel our expectation for Miracles this month!

Make sure you check out our Website, Instagram, or newportchurch.com/miraclemay for the weekly posts.

We Look Forward to Seeing you Tomorrow!

We are believing for a great Sunday in church tomorrow and a powerful sense of God’s presence in our time of Worship and the Word.

Let’s never forget that if we want to grow in our faith, “Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.”

We very much look forward to seeing you in person or on our YouTube channel if you are watching online!

Your presence makes all the difference!

We love and appreciate you all greatly,
