Hi Newport Church Family,

We hope you are having a Happy and blessed New Year so far!

Fresh Footprints in the Snow

I have always loved the new year because each new year gives us an opportunity to reset, re-establish healthy habits and to begin again with fresh vision.

I remember as a boy looking out of the window, on the few occasions that we had a significant snow fall, captured by the beauty of a fresh blanket of snow covering the landscape, unmarked as yet by any footprints or activity.

It was always a special moment when we would go outside and make the first footprints in the freshly fallen snow.

The New Year reminds me of those moments, when we have the opportunity to create our first footprints of hope and faith.

We pray, as we reset with refreshed kingdom patterns at the start of this year, that we will all see God’s design and hand at work in every area of our lives and church.

21 Days of Prayer and Fasting – January 4th to 25th

One of the great ways to set the tone for our year is through our annual 21 days of Prayer and Fasting.

Jesus said that fasting is "an appetite-denying discipline to better focus on God" Matt 6:14 Message

Whatever fast you choose, we pray that it will be a spiritually renewing and empowering time for you personally and for us as a church corporately.

We are meeting together for a 30 minute Zoom Prayer meeting from 6.30am to 7am on every one of the 21 days and we would love to have you join us, even if it’s for a part of that time. You have the option of course to jump in and out of the prayer meeting and to mute or turn the video off if you are getting ready for work!

Here is the zoom link to our daily prayer meeting:

And you can also send us your prayer requests here:

Let’s never forget that God says, “The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.” James 5:16

As we seek God together at the start of 2022 we pray that God will crown our year with His goodness!

Taking the Next Step

The new year is a time when we can all take new steps of faith as we grow in our walk with God.

Let’s make a decision that we are not going to be static but dynamic in our approach to this year, and take our next step of faith, whether it’s in our worship, our serving or the giving our gifts and finances.

There is no better time than now to make the choices and decisions that will create a platform from which we can embark on our year.

Miracles in our Finances

There is no doubt that we would all like to see God work miraculously in our finances this year! The truth is that God is not only willing but able to do so.

God outlines very clearly in His word how we can experience His supernatural provision and multiplication.

 God says:

Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.

Malachi 3:10 NIV

Paul writes to the Corinthian church that God gives seed to those who sow, and promises that He Himself will multiply the seed we sow.

This year let’s believe for financial miracles in our lives and in our church.

If you have never put God to the test by taking Him up on His challenge to tithe, the beginning of the year is a great time to do so.

God not only allows us to put him to the test but He challenges us to do so!

Click on this link to take a look at our “Give God 90 Days” Card, and test God now to see how He will open the windows of heaven for you!

For those who have already established God’s pattern of tithing, we can continue to take new steps of faith through the giving of our offerings over and above our regular tithes.

Jesus communicated that our generosity is the key to financial miracles, with  this declaration:

“Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full—pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back.”

Luke 6:38 NLT

A big thank you to all of those who have been faithfully giving. God promises that as we partner with Him, bringing His love and salvation to our world, He will faithfully reward each one of us according to our faithfulness and generosity.

If you would like to give now, you can do so by clicking here.

May God multiply the seed you sow according to His promise!

This Sunday!

We can’t wait to see you this Sunday, either in person or online. It’s going to be a great morning and it won’t be the same without you!

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Romans 15:13 NIV

We love and appreciate you all greatly,
